Design Tables for RF Matching Networks.

Abstract

The report describes the design of two matching networks for use with an electron-beam semiconductor (EBS). Tables for matching networks for two different constraint loads were done. Computer optimization techniques were used in generating those tables, and results were obtained that are equal-ripple for any practical purposes. The table values are quite smoothly varying functions of the triode-grid and EBS-diode parameters, which should permit interpolation for intermediate values of these parameters. Trial networks were built for both types of load. Measured parameters for the experimental models were compared with calculated values that correspond to the actual network portion built.
