An Analysis of Factors Related to Desertion among FY 1968 and FY 1969 Army Accessions,

Abstract

Desertion among Army accessions who entered the service at a time when entrance requirements were less restrictive for some personnel was investigated. Several personal and demographic factors were found to distinguish deserters from non-deserters. Implications for personnel selection and management are discussed on the basis of anticipated desertion rates for those with predisposing backgrounds prior to service entry. (Author)
