Research Toward the Development of Adaptive Pattern Recognition Devices.

Abstract

The following topics within the area of trainable recognition systems were investigated in the context of human automation performance: Stability as a criterion of optimum of optimum threshold learning; speech recognition; a stopping rule for multidimensional threshold learning; estimation of error probability; dimensionality and sample size; selection of features; imperfectly labeled training sets; and wandering pattern classes.
