Topics in Model Building. Part IV. Some Problems in Model Discrimination.
Abstract
Certain authors have remarked on what they believed was the instability of the posterior probabilities of the models calculated using Box and Hill's discrimination technique. It is shown that this instability arose not for any inappropriateness of the technique itself but because it was used under the conditions which violated critical assumptions.
