STOL Tactical Aircraft Investigation--Externally Blown Flap. Volume 4. Analysis of Wind Tunnel Data

Abstract

The basic objective of the report is to provide a broader technology base to support the development of a medium STOL Transport (MST) airplane. The work is limited to the application of the externally blown flap (EBF) powered lift concept. From an overall assessment of study results, it is concluded that the EBF concept provides a practical means of obtaining STOL performance for an MST with relatively low risk.
