AF-572CESDTR-73-288*Air transportation, *Cargo, *Terminal flight facilities, *Inventory control, Logistics planning, Logistics support, Scheduling, Military requirements, Data processing*Air cargo, Required operational capabilityAccurate and timely identification and descriptive data on air cargo is currently not available to managers of air cargo terminals, nor to the information and planning systems to which they supply cargo data. This report supports a Required Operational Capability (ROC) for Air Cargo Terminal Source Data Entry Devices, issued as USAF ROC 2-73. The proposed set of devices will generate machine readable data for individual pieces of cargo, read the data whenever needed, allow entry of additional data, and provide interfaces to systems requiring the data.
