Random Surface Generation for Digital Radar Simulation.

Abstract

The report presents a method of generating digital computer models of rough surfaces. It involves the linear filtering of a two-dimensional sample of white Gaussian noise to produce a two-dimensional surface with Gaussian probability density and autocorrelation function. The filter derivation, specific examples, and a computer listing are provided. (Author)
