Detection of Potting Voids in Electronic Fuzes Using Neutron Radiography.

Abstract

Radiographic tests on potting compound cylinders surrounded by cadmium plated steel and aluminum were conducted with thermal and resonance energy neutrons. X-ray and gamma-ray tests of the steel samples have also been completed. Some tests were conducted with 14 MeV and approximately 150 keV neutrons as well. Results are discussed.
