Continuous World Wide UV Monitoring Programme.

Abstract

A simple method of monitoring continuously the solar UV radiation is described. It is based on exposing a polymer film which darkens in proportion to the dose of incident UV radiation. The method is being used to monitor continuously the UV radiation at 20 sites - representative of the world's climates. Results of many of these sites for 1972 are given. (Author)
