Qualitative Determination of Organometallic Substances in Solid Propellants by Thin Layer Chromatography,

Abstract

In this research a thin layer chromatography process was worked out which permits the qualitative determination within a relatively short space of time of organometallic salts forming part of solid fuels. Separation is achieved with a 3-component travelling solvent. Various spray reagents were found for making the substances visible and with their help it is possible to determine the substances which are not visible in UV light.
