Earth's Particles and Fields, 1973.
Abstract
The Summer Advanced Study Institute, 'Earth's Particles, and Fields,' was held at The University, Sheffield, England, during the period August 13 to 24, 1973. There were 139 participants from 16 countries. Over 40 lectures were presented with approximately one-half of the time devoted to discussion. Lectures and discussions about theoretical and experimental research results concerning the structure and characteristics of the magnetosphere, magnetospheric models, convection and electric fields, substorms, and the Jovian magnetosphere are summarized.
