Algorithms for Eigenvalue-Eigenvector Problems for Nonnormal Matrices.

Abstract

The interim scientific report comprises a description of a number of usable computer subroutines developed under the research program. These subroutines concern themselves with manipulations with matrices. The main subroutines developed are: NEIGEN; computes all eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a complex matrix with a high degree of precision. ONEIG; computes one eigenvalue and one unit vector, namely the first column of a unitary matrix of a complex matrix. SEIGEN; computes the eigenvalues of a real symmetric matrix as well as the eigenvectors and sharp bounds for the relative errors. (Author)
