Equation of Balance of Excited States for dc Discharge Plasma at Average Pressure and a Determination of Parameters of Excitation Levels in Argon,

Abstract

The role of various processes in the population and disintegration of the excited levels of argon was analyzed. A positive method for the direct-current discharge in a tube was examined. Intensities of spectral lines caused by the system ((3p)5)(np) (n = 4, 5, 6), ((3p)5)(ns) (n = 6, 7, 8) and ((3p)5)(nd) (n = 4, 5, 6, 7) were measured by comparing them to a standard source (band-ignitor tube).
