The Professional Development of a Reserve Officer.

Abstract

The purpose of this essay is to establish the Reserve Officer, after attaining specified grade, experience, and academic requirements, the right to be ascribed a 'Military Professional.' Further, to identify ways in which the Reserve Officer will, early in his career, recognize the need for professional development and the requirements necessary to attain this distinction. In addition, to suggest realistic functions and programs which will further enhance the professional development of the Reserve Officer and increase his effectiveness for national service. Lastly, to point out the need for specific and measurable criteria for military professional development. (Author)
