Recent Sediments of the Central California Continental Shelf, Pillar Point to Pigeon Point. Part C. Interpretation and Summary of Results.

Abstract

Grain size, heavy mineral, and organic content analyses of 43 marine and 9 intertidal and fluvial samples plus data from 28 marine samples from a previous study by Sayles (1965) form the data interpretated in this report for the area landward of 90 meters depth (50 fathoms) from Pillar Point to Pigeon Point, California, between the Golden Gate and Monterey Bay.
