A Five-Channel (2-kW-PEP) 2 to 30 MHz Distribution System,

Abstract

The concept of a radio-frequency distribution system customized to the special requirements and constraints of ships having five transmitters or less was investigated. The analysis, experimental design, and measurements of the performance of an experimental model of one channel of the system was successfully completed. When fully implemented the system will provide for the simultaneous operation of five transmitters in the 2 to 30 MHz frequency range into two broadband antennas in a single systems package. A program should be initiated to develop a complete self-contained selective distribution system as an engineering model of the system whose design was proven by the present investigation. (Author)
