Mossbauer Effect and Related Phenomena.

Abstract

The goals of the 7 year research project as follows: (1) Measurement of magnetic moments of excited states of nuclei by the Mossbauer effect and angular correlation experiments; (2) Study of ferromagnetic phenomena by the Mossbauer effect and other techniques; (3) Study of rare earth and actinide elements; (4) Search for new Mossbauer nuclides; and (5) study of new techniques for Mossbauer spectroscopy. Final progress in these various areas is described in the report. (Modified author abstract)
