Abstract

The report reviews and discusses the continuing operation and development of the Mechanical Properties Data Center. The Mechanical Properties Data Center had as its objectives the acquisition, review, analysis and dissemination of available well-defined mechanical properties data on structural metals and alloys. Additionally, the Center was charged with the responsibility of establishing and maintaining a marketing-sales program for the products and services of the Center, to 'achieve a rate of reimbursement equal to at least 90% of the initial DoD funding'. Activity and growth of the Center are discussed in terms of the six major work areas: Input, File Maintenance, Output, Systems Development, Management and Marketing-Sales. (Modified author abstract)
