A Two-Dimensional Warm Fog Modification Model.

Abstract

The purpose of this five-year-long study is two-fold: (1) to perform the necessary research to examine and evaluate physical processes that are important in the formation and dissipation of warm fog and stratus, relate them to the number, and type of condensation nuclei in the atmosphere, and relate them in turn, to pollution and its products; and, (2) to conduct research to determine the effects of pollution on the condensation nuclei that are responsible for formation of ocean and cumulus clouds.
