General Frequency Response Program for Small Memory Capacity Computers.

Abstract

The report describes a frequency response program written for small, desk-top digital computers, in particular the Hewlett Packard 9800 Model 20 with extended memory and plotter (if plotting is desired). The particular advantages of this program are (1) transfer functions can be inputted directly, requiring only that the transfer function be in the form of products of numerator polynomials over products of denominator polynomials; (2) the resultant frequency response can be quickly obtained and outputted in printout or various plot formats; and (3) the engineer has instant point-by-point access to the program and can quickly make parameter changes or signal program reruns. These features result in a General Frequency Response program that should handle most problems encountered, and its use could considerably reduce the cost of analysis and design efforts. (Author)
