Surface Current Construction of Radiation Spectra.

Abstract

A technique is introduced which allows the spectral and angular distributions of radiation accompanying the interaction of a uniformly moving charge with a conducting surface to be obtained from surface currents constructed from solution of the associated electrostatic problem. Application of the technique further employs simple arguments involving causality, conservation of charge, and the Lorentz transformation. (Author)
