Investigation of High Power MHD Gas Lasers.

Abstract

The primary objective of this year's effort, the achievement of optical gain in an MHD channel, has been met. Gain of 0.2%/cm at 10.6 micrometers has been repeatedly measured in two gas mixtures He/Ne/CO2/Xe and He/Ar/CO2/Cs.
