Observations of Resonant Internal Wave Interactions over a Range of Driving Frequencies.

Abstract

An experimental study of the stability of a progressive internal wave of mode 3 propagating down a long tank filled with a lienarly stratified salt solution was conducted over the range 0.45 < or = omega (3)/N < or - 0.80 where omega is the paddle frequency and N is the Brunt-Vaisala frequency.
