Infrared Studies of Coordination Compounds Containing Low-Oxidation State Metals.

Abstract

The authors have carried out detailed vibrational analyses on three types of coordination compounds to study the relationship between the strength of the coordinate bond and the oxidation state of the metal. These include unusually low oxidation states such as Cr(0) and Ti(-I) and unusually high oxidation states such as Fe(IV) and Ni(IV). (Modified author abstract)
