Thermodynamic Properties of Organic Derivatives of the Lighter Elements and Thermodynamic Properties of Fluids.

Abstract

An investigation of strained small-ring compounds in families of cyclic amines and epoxy butanes was continued. The thermodynamic properties of 1,2-epoxybutane including enthalpy of combustion and formation, low-temperature thermal properties, vapor pressures, enthalpy of vaporization, and the values of enthalpy, entropy, Gibbs energy, and equilibrium constant of formation in the vapor state at 298.15 K are completed; work on trans-2,3-epoxybutane is in progress; and the investigation of cyclopentylamine is about 90 percent completed.
