Abstract
The proceedings represent a compilation of those papers presented at the First Annual International Naval Diving Conference, 6-9 December 1968, hosted by the United States Navy Experimental Diving Unit. Participants included representatives from the navies of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Federal Republic of Germany, France, and Sweden. The subjects presented included descriptions of equipment being used; duties, selection, and training of divers; and descriptions of research and development programs being conducted. Pertinent medical and physiological aspects of some of the diving programs were also presented. (Author)
