Computer Test Facility.

Abstract

The Computer Test Facility subtask was initiated to provide a test bed for new ADP equipments being developed by the Computer Techniques Team and to provide a training center for new engineers to allow them to make a successful transition from an academic to an R and D environment. The tasks performed in the Computer Test Facility and described in this document represent the achievement of these two goals. The interface design and implementation, both hardware and software, are described for peripheral devices, e.g., line printers, alphanumeric display, x-y plotters, card readers, high speed paper tape readers, etc., computer-to-computer interface, operating systems, and state-of-the-art tertiary stores.
