User Manual for LIFE1 Computer Program.
Abstract
The report describes a digital computer program that enables airfield-pavement designers and planners to analyze the consequences of available decision alternatives. The program allows different design schemes and strategies for maintaining the proposed pavement systems. Costs of construction and maintenance are estimated, and the various combinations of design schemes and maintenance strategies are ranked by total costs over the design-life of the pavement. Instructions are provided for program operation and input preparation for use with CDC 6000 series computer systems. The program is written in FORTRAN Extended. (Author)
