Absorption of CO Laser Radiation by Water Vapor near 5 micrometers.

Abstract

Calculations of the absorption of CO laser radiation by water vapor are brought into good agreement with the experimental data by modifying the Lorentz line shape formula. Results of absorption and transmittance calculations made using the modified line shape formula are presented for CO laser lines and other wavelengths near 5 micrometers at various water vapor partial pressures.
