Measurement of Radiothermal and Plasma Radiations in the Superhigh-Frequency Range,

Abstract

This monograph gives a systematic presentation of the results of studies of the generation and transfer of natural superhigh-frequency radiations and the reception of superhigh-frequency broad-band signals in relation to the problem involved in propagation of radio waves, geophysics, radiometeorology and plasma physics. In addition to a generalization of the studies made by the authors and their associates, the monograph gives systematically processed material on the theoretical and experimental studies published prior to the middle of 1966. The monograph consists of four parts giving physical concepts concerning the mechanism of superhigh-frequency radiations, the results of studies of the superhigh-frequency radiation of different types of ground cover, the atmosphere and plasma formations, and considers the problems involved in signal reception and selection.
