Abstract

The purpose of the report is to provide a quantitative and qualitative review of U.S. Army helicopter structure reliability and maintainability problems and subsequently to discuss related reliability and maintainability efforts that are expected to provide solutions. For the purpose of this paper, helicopter structures are deemed to include rotor blades as well as primary and secondary elements of the airframe.
