A Microprogrammed I/O Interface.

Abstract

The thesis presents a basic hardware model suitable for most sequential microprogrammed devices. A software system is described which allows the use of an assembly-level programming language instead of the binary representation of microcodes. The implementation of a microprogrammed input/output interface is presented as an example for use of both the hardware and software. (Author)
