Dynamic and Fluid Dynamic Characteristics of a Fuel Injection Nozzle.

Abstract

Due to the increasing requirements for reduced emissions from internal combustion engines many manufacturers have expressed interest in gasoline fuel injection systems. In order to determine the fluid dynamic and dynamic characteristics of a commercial injector a test chamber was constructed and a laboratory simulation carried out. A proposed method of predicting flow rates and dynamic response has been compared with experimental results. (Author)
