A Conical Shell of Linearly Variable Thickness under the Effect of a Normal Concentrated Force,

Abstract

A nonsloping conical shell whose thickness varies linearly is examined. The shell is loaded by a normal concentrated force applied at point M(r', phi'). The initial system of equations reduces to two equations with constant coefficients. The equations are integrated using double trigonometric series which approximately correspond to the case of a freely supported shell.
