Kinetic Equation of Cloud Particle Ion Charging,

Abstract

The process of diffusion charging of interacting cloud particles is examined. It is assumed that the precipitating ions move in a field of many particles and ions. The kinetic equation for the particle distribution function with respect to charge is obtained by methods of nonequilibrium statistical mechanics. The role of collective ion-ion and ion-particle interactions in the screening of electrostatic interaction is analyzed. The conditions for the application of the obtained equation are shown. A generalization is made for the case of the action of induction forces. (Author)
