Study of the Temperature Conditions for the Formation of and the Service Life of Ni-Cr-Si-B Coatings,

Abstract

Optimal temperature limits and other conditions are determined for the formation of metal-like coatings of the type Ni-Cr-Si-B on steels by dross technology from the technical powders of the initial elements. Microroentgen spectral analysis is used to determine the distribution of elements Fe, Ni, Cr, Si and B throughout the thickness of the coating and in the boundary layer as a function of firing conditions and the duration of subsequent temperature holding.
