A Study of (AFCS) Communications Measurement Program.

Abstract

The objective of this work was to study the current measurement procedures used by the Air Force Communications Service (AFCS) for monitoring the performance capabilities of the microwave communications systems used by the Air Force and to develop additional measurement procedures to supplement the current procedures. The approach used to achieve the objectives consists of developing simple mathematical models for the various functional blocks in the communication system, selecting a set of important parameters of the model, relating values of functional block parameters to communications systems parameters, and developing procedures for measuring the values of these parameters.
