Q-Switching and Mode-Locking the Nd(3+)-Glass Laser with the Nickel Dithienes.

Abstract

The compound bis-(4-dimethylaminodithiobenzil)-nickel (BDN) was shown to be a photochemically stable saturable absorber suitable as a Q-switch for Nd3+-glass lasers.
