Development of a Combustor Flow Analysis. Part III. User's Manual for the Field Relaxation Elliptic Procedure.

Abstract

A finite-difference procedure for computing the flow within two-dimensional or axisymmetric combustion chambers is described. Different geometries and boundary conditions can be treated as well as alternate hydrocarbon fuels and oxidizers. Refinements to the chemistry, turbulence, or droplet flow modeling is easily implemented within the framework of the procedure. Noncombusting flow problems can also be treated by simple changes to the input data. The numerical code has been programmed in FORTRAN V and is designated F865. (Modified author abstract)
