Chemical Laser Analysis Development. Volume VI. Survey of Pressure Recovery Methods for Chemical Laser Application.

Abstract

Available data on pressure recovery devices is assembled and analyzed and their suitability assessed for application to chemical laser systems. Performance of unaugmented gasdynamic diffusers are examined and potential devices are reviewed for augmenting (or pumping) the diffuser exhaust gases. Recommendations are made concerning the most attractive pressure recovery technique, and realistic goals for operation of the chemical laser cavity commensurate with pressure recovery technology.
