Detection, Study and Chemical Reactivity of Boron Intermediates Generated by High Temperature and Photochemical processes.

Abstract

A brief summary of research activity on high temperature and photochemical intermediates in boron chemistry is presented. The work has resulted in approximately 50 technical publications in boron chemistry. Vibrational spectra have been obtained for the intermediates BH3 (borane) HBO and HBNH which has been isolated in low temperature matrices. Techniques were used for deriving thermochemical data for ionized boron species in the vapor phase. (Modified author abstract)
