Nonlinear Volterra and Delay Equations.
Abstract
Nonlinear Volterra and delay equations arise naturally in various branches of science, for example heat transfer, superfluidity, viscoelasticity, biology, genetics, nuclear reactor dynamics, and control theory. The study of the qualitative behavior of solutions of such equations is of intrinsic mathematical interest. Research under this contract can be divided into the following six categories: Asymptotic Behavior of Solutions of Volterra equations; Reactor dynamics; Perturbation theory for Volterra equations; A boundedness problem for a nonlinear Volterra equation arising in nuclear reactor kinetics; A nonlinear Volterra equation occurring in heat transfer and other problems; Asymptotic behavior of the bounded solutions of various functional equations.
