On Computational Security,

Abstract

Computational security deals with the wide spectrum of protection for computational facilities and resources against unauthorized access and use, as well as from loss due to uncontrollable events. The paper investigates means by which cryptographic techniques can be used to secure sensitive data in computers. A survey of the relevant topics in computational security is presented. Two techniques that can be used to encode sensitive data in computer systems are developed. (Modified author abstract)
