Abstract

The Eric H. Wang Symposium on Protective Structures Technology sponsored by the Air Force Weapons Laboratory was held at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, from 21 through 23 July 1970, to commemorate Eric H. Wang, a pioneer in Air Force protective construction, on the tenth anniversary of his death. The report is divided into six sections; one for each session of the symposium. Each address or paper is as the speaker presented in his manuscript. Beacuse of its length, the proceedings are contained in two volumes: sessions I through 4 in volume one, and sessions 5 and 6 in volume two. Broad topics discussed in volume one include the following: Airblast interactions; Material properties; and, Ground motions.
