Leadership: The Indirect Approach.

Abstract

The purpose of the essay is to examine the advantages, and results of the indirect approach in leadership. The evolution of this concept from earliest times is briefly traced. The changes with regard to the function of the leader, caused by the technological advances of today, the desirable responses of the Government, the Army, to these changes, are analyzed. The opportunities for effective leadership are presented.
