Simultaneous Systems of Dual Integral Equations and Some Mixed Boundary Value Problems of Elasticity.

Abstract

A method for solving simultaneous systems of dual integral equations is developed. The equations considered here have trigonometric and Bessel function kernels. These equations arise in the problems of adhesive contact and in certain crack problems of composite media. The solutions are sought in the form of Neumann series which lead to coupled singular integral equations solvable in a closed form. Certain physical quantities of interest are calculated. (Author)
