An Iteration Scheme for Boundary Value/Alternative Problems.

Abstract

A coupled iteration scheme for approximating the solution of nonlinear boundary value problems framed in the context of alternative problems (i.e. auxiliary equation and bifurcation equation) is discussed. Under suitable hypotheses, convergence of the scheme proves existence of a solution, and in some cases the convergence to the bifurcation point is accelerated. (Author)
