System Design Study for a Shipboard Electronic Missile Launcher Control System.

Abstract

A system design study has been conducted for a shipboard electronic missile launcher control system. The system features more efficient firing zones and thus results in a more effective weapon. The system is designed to input dynamic enviornmental parameters (wind, ship speed and ship motion) and compute, on a real-time basis, optimum firing cutout zones. The techniques developed for use in the system, as well as comparisons with the currently used system, are presented in the report. (Author)
