Computer Programs for Automatically Analyzing and Drafting Fault Trees, PREP, KITT, and FTDP.

Abstract

Three computer program packages which analyze and draft fault trees are described. These packages are composed of the PREP codes which determine the failure modes of the tree, the KITT codes which compute the failure probabilities associated with the tree, and the FTDP code which automatically draws the fault tree on a CALCOMP plotter. Recommendations for the use of these programs and information regarding their operation on the CDC 6700 computer are also provided, as well as sample runs for each program package. (Author)
