Management and Control of Materiel in Overseas Areas.
Abstract
The essay outlines an improved materiel management system for oversea areas based on a reduced logistical pipeline and reorienting repair to the rear. Theater wholesale supply operations would be eliminated, requisitioning and issue processing time reduced, and reduction of maintenance performed in the oversea theater to DS repair of end items.
